Module 1: What is Alcohol and Drug Misuse?

This module introduces substance misuse in the workplace by outlining relevant drug and alcohol statistics and exploring a case study on the impact of substance misuse in the construction sector. It outlines the risks associated with drug and alcohol misuse, particularly in the construction and trades sector, explaining why this industry is at high risk of misuse.

Module 2: Understanding Drugs and Alcohol

This module outlines the most common types of drugs and the health impacts they can have, as well as the social and professional consequences of substance misuse. It also explores the risk factors that can contribute to drug and alcohol misuse in the workplace, as well as how to identify signs of drug and alcohol misuse.

Module 3: Supporting Employees with Drug and Alcohol Misuse

This module explains the laws around substance misuse in the workplace for employers and employees and how to implement a drug and alcohol policy to tackle workplace substance misuse, as well as other methods for combating workplace substance misuse.

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 12 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
