Module 1: Introduction to Warehouse Health and Safety

The importance of warehouse safety training, common warehouse injuries, causes of warehouse injuries, legal responsibilities, effects on your business, employee responsibilities, risk assessment, correct selection and flexibility, and training.

Module 2: Health Hazards and Controls

COSHH, noise, vibration, asbestos, legionella, display screen equipment, workplace stress, personal protective equipment, and first aid.

Module 3: Slips, Trips and Falls, Electrical Safety and Fire Safety

Slip and trip hazards, preventing slip and trip hazards, floor contamination, electrical hazards, electrical safety legislation, preventing electrical hazards, in case of emergency, and fire safety controls.

Module 4: Manual and Mechanical Handling and Work at Height

Manual handling hazards in a warehouse, manual handling risk assessment, identifying manual handling risks, manual handling safety measures, mechanical handling, mechanical handling safety, duties on manufacturers and suppliers of machines and equipment, and working at height.

Module 5: Onsite Vehicle Safety

Pedestrians, visiting drivers and deliveries, traffic routes, traffic signs, reversing vehicles, loading vehicles, coupling and uncoupling vehicles, falls from height, operating vehicle safety, parking, and inspection and maintenance.

Module 6: Site Safety

Storage systems, pallets, safe use of pallets, automated storage systems, why do accidents occur, and storing hazardous substances safely.

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 15 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%.The answers are marked automatically so you will instantly know whether you have passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
